The RRU Library subscribes to a number of online databases that include magazines. We also have a small selection of print magazines in the building, including Wired, the Economist, Fast Company, and Maclean's, which may be borrowed.

If you know the title of a magazine you're looking for, you can search the 'Journals by title' tab on the Discovery search bar on the Library homepage.
Type in the name of the magazine you're looking for, to locate the full text availability within any of our databases that contain the magazine, along with links to relevant collections.
For example, if you search for Wired, or Fast Company, or the New Yorker, you'll see a results page with a link to the publication, the name of the database its in, and the coverage that we have access to. Sometimes there will be more than one database that holds a title, and sometimes they will have different coverage (e.g., one database might have all issues from 1990-1995, another might have 1990 - current). Select the best available option (as illustrated below) to get to a page where you can browse available content by date or to search within the publication.
If you don't have a specific title in mind, try the following:
1) Browse or search within a database. If you click the 'Access the A-Z database list' link just below the Discovery search bar on the Library homepage, you'll find a list of databases that you can sort by subject. If you're interested in a specific area, like business magazines, you could sort to only Business databases. We also have a few databases that specifically note they include magazines. A few of these are Global Issues in Context, Canadian Business and Current Affairs, and CPI.Q (Canadian Periodical Index Quarterly). Within those, you can then often filter your search results by publication type. You might also see a link to a list of publications included in the database that you can browse.
2) Search for magazine in the Journals by title tab to surface an alphabetical list of all our journals that contain that word. Edit the search type to 'match any words' (screenshot below).
The RRU Library has a collection of print periodicals including magazines and journals, located on the 2nd level on the furthest shelve from the main Library entrance. You may also occasionally find magazines in our new book displays.
