Welcome JIBC students to RRU!

Library space & amenities

RRU Library has a variety of study spaces available, including spaces appropriate for group work and individual study. JIBC students are welcome to use a variety of the study spaces available in the RRU Library. While our breakout rooms are not bookable by JIBC students, JIBC students are welcome to use any breakout room that is unoccupied and not booked.

There is also a small kitchen in the Library that can be used to prepare and eat food, as well as vending machines with a variety of drinks and snacks.

RRU Library offers a variety of items for in-library use, including:

  • White board markers & erasers
  • Phone chargers
  • Assorted cables and dongles
  • Headphones

Borrowing books

JIBC students can request books from the JIBC Library be mailed to them direct at no cost.

JIBC students are also eligible for an RRU Library community borrower card. This card allows JIBC students to borrow print books and AV materials from RRU Library's main collection. Cardholders may borrow up to 7 items at a time for a 30-day loan period.

To apply for a library card, stop by the RRU Library front desk, identify yourself as a JIBC student, and show your government-issued or JIBC ID.

Printing and scanning

The printers and scanners at RRU Library require an RRU academic account, so cannot be accessed by JIBC students. Printers/scanners are available to JIBC students in the Cedar building.
