This is due to a setting in your Zotero browser plug in. By default, it asks if you want to add a proxy link to your citations. The good news is that it is easy to turn this setting off.
1 - If you see a yellow bar across the top of your browser telling you that Zotero is redirecting your request through 'ezproxy', click on the ‘proxy settings’ option on the right...
and turn it off in your browser.
2 - If you do not see that yellow bar across the top of your browser but you are still having trouble, right click on the Zotero shortcut in your browser and choose, ‘Manage Extension’.
Open the 'Options' menu...
Select 'Proxies' on the left and disable the proxy redirection.
