1. Open the confirmation email for your appointment

The meeting link and passcode for your meeting are included in your appointment confirmation email every time you book an appointment. If you have not received an email for your scheduled appointment, please Ask the Library to confirm your appointment has been booked.

2. Click on or copy and paste the link to your online meeting room into your browser

Use the link provided in the confirmation email to join your meeting with a librarian. If you have Zoom installed, click on “Launch Meeting” (the blue button), if not, click on “Join from Your Browser” (circled in yellow below) to continue to your appointment on a web browser.  If the meeting has already started, you will be asked to enter the passcode to join. See Joining a Meeting from Zoom for a step-by-step overview of this process.

3. Select computer or phone audio

Once you enter the passcode, you may test your audio settings before joining the meeting. To join by phone, dial one of the local Zoom numbers provided and enter the conference and participant ID and passcode provided for the meeting. See Joining a Meeting by Phone for a demonstration from Zoom.

4. Using additional features within Zoom

Although you do not have to download Zoom to use video, audio, and chat in an online meeting, it is only possible upload files or share your screen using one of Zoom’s supported web browsers, such as recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer. To learn how to share applications or your desktop, please see Sharing your Screen, and visit these Video Tutorials and Frequently Asked Questions to explore specific topics about Zoom or to find further support for troubleshooting technical issues on Zoom.
