The Royal Roads University Library is pleased to receive offers to donate books and other resources. However, donated material is not automatically accepted. Acceptance is determined by the collection development policies of the Library, which responds to the present and anticipated academic requirements of University programs.

Conditional Donations

The Library will return to the donor any items which are not added to the collection, provided this is requested at the time of donation.

If a donor does not require the return of material not accepted into the RRU collection, the Library will dispose of these materials appropriately. This may be through donation to another institution, sale, exchange, or recycling. Proceeds from book sales benefit the Library's budget.

The Library does not normally accept conditions on donations of material or accept material on permanent loan.
